Description
The permit coordinator role is responsible for understanding agency requirements to manage projects through the approval process as well as coordination with these same agencies as necessary for permitting. Coordinates with in-house and outside professionals for planning board, zoning board, food service health applications, and general building permit as required. Additional responsibility includes managing in-house requests to print architectural drawings on HP plotter. The position requires strong communication, record-keeping and time management skills.

Responsibilities
Research, study, and document the filing requirements for various agencies in multiple states.
Administrative lead for submissions to local, county, and state agencies.
Manage the progress of submittal packages through the approval process, document the status, and provide regular updates to leadership.
Deliver proposal packages or coordinate delivery with couriers, when necessary to ensure timely submittals.
Communicate with local, county, and state agencies during all phases of the approval process.
Directly handle clients personally, via email, and by phone.
Keep records of time and expenses associated with projects to allow for billing of reimbursables.
Operate HP Plotter to produce architectural drawings as requested by architectural staff. Responsible for packaging & shipping drawings to clients.
Requirements
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative.
Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of organization.
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required for the occasional travel to client offices or site visit requirements of this role.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Experience using SmartSheet is a plus. Please list all software capabilities in resume.
